Beyond Your Control

Are you constantly consumed with things that you want to change?

Do you want to make changes in your life and in the lives of others?

Does your mind race out of control with worry?

If you answered “YES” to any of the previous questions STOP!

Stop dwelling on things that are beyond your control. Not only is it unhealthy but it is a waste of time and a waste of you God-given talents.

I hate to sound so harsh but it’s true. What makes me such an authority on the subject? Let me tell you…

I wanted my perfect world to stay perfect but life happened. I was consumed with things that where beyond my control.

I juggled all of the solutions to my problems in my head thinking that they would somehow work out in my favor. The more the problems lingered the more I felt hopeless in my efforts. It was not until I slapped myself in the face and was awaken to the reality that “Stuff Happens!” I realized that everyone has a certain set of strengths and weaknesses but I also knew that we all will experience issues.

I was consumed. On the surface it may seem like these things are controllable but they are most definitely not. The bottom line is that I was unable to control everybody and everything. What can be controlled where the things that I had prepared for. Preparation is the key to being successful in business and in life.

When a person is prepared unexpected events will not shake them. A glitch in the Matrix will not matter. They will remain focused on their end goal. Being wrapped up in the uncontrollable forces of life will leave you feeling drained and unfulfilled.

You have to realize (just as I did) that you don’t have the power that you think you have.

There will be good days and there will be bad days. However, it’s up to you to take full advantage of both of them.

The moral of the story is to live your life to the best of your ability. Prepare for tomorrow but enjoy the blessing that the current day has provided. Life is too short. So stop trying to fix things beyond your control.

“Life is what you make it.”
